Tempature Changes

I Just Set My 12 Gallon Nana Up 4 Days Ago. So Far Everything Seems Ok. Except My Tempature Is Not Staying Very Steedy. When The Main 24 Watt 50/50 Bulb And Fans Are On It 76 Degrees. When The Moon Light Come On At Night It Goes Up To 80.7 Degrees. I Just Turned The 50 Watt Heater Down 2 Clicks To See How This Works. So I Guess My Question Is Is Anyone Else Having This Tempature Change? Also Could This Be A Heater Promblem? Thanks For Your Help...

Acceptable temp range is 74 to 82 degrees, but the key is keeping it constant. Dial in your therometer to 80 or 81 degrees and then you won't have the temp swings.

Your moon lights should not be a cause of temp fluctuations. Do you mean actinic? If you are noticing the temp change at night when the main light turns off and you only have the moon lights on, the reason it is heating up is because your exhaust fans turn off at the same time as your light. So because of that all you need to do is open the front access panel to let fresh cooler air in.

for the temp to go up at night is odd .... im going with peef on this open the top a bit ....or flip flop the lights so your fan stays on all the time
