Temperature Tips

The 10 gallon nano we have is currently in a small bedroom that runs an AC at night. What we've noticed (tank is only 3 days old) is that during the day the water temp is at a constant 78 degrees. However, it dips down to 74 overnight with the AC on in the room. Are there any tips on how to minimize this fluctuation? I'd think this would be common with nano tanks.

add a smaller heater that has an adjustable thermostat.. put the temp at 78.. that way, day and night, the tank should be at 78 degrees
