I have been following another sites info for disease treatment but it seems to contradict things i've learned from here - hyposalinity levels for one.
They say to drop to 1.014 whereas here it is said to go to 1.009???
can you please take a look at this site and let me know if i should keep away from it? or is it useful?

I've seen that article before and remember laughing. First they are confusing fresh water bathes/dips with hyposalinity, and, for some reason, convoluted the 2 procedures and came up with their own procedure.
About.com is good, but many of their articles are very dated. Be wary.
Terry is absolutely right. Reducing the specific gravity to 1.014 is a waste of time. It must be 1.009 or the parasitie will be uneffected by the procedure.

Here is a site that helped me out w/my purple tang.www.wyx.com/iheo/tank/hyposalinity.htm He has been in there for 2 1/2 weeks & he is fine so far, he has 2 1/2 weeks left. I hope it help's!! :D :D

well i don't agree,well let me backup.i do agree
that hypo works,but don't agree that it can't work at 1.014,i have had good results at that level.
