Hey Terryb beth told me to ask you if you will help me? My question is i have a damsel that has
scales that has been scratched off and has dark skin underneath also he has a white puss on both
fins. I've been doing hypo for 28 days.
Also he shakes violently like he did when he had ick :(

I have 2 damsels in a 10gal QT with a penguin
Bio-Wheel filter ,2 heaters, I do 1 gallon water change a week. I haven't done a water parameter test, I figured that the 1gal water change would keep up water quality. I test my salinity with a swing arm salininty tester. The damsels are 1 yellow tail , and a blue damsel. The blue damsel is the one infected now, and he's the dominant
fish. I have been doing hypo for 30 days now.
I even kept my salinity at 1.008 so it wouldn't
rise over 1.009. I'm starting to think my salinity tester is bad because white salt speck's are starting to emerge :( . The other damsel doesn't have any thing on him yet.
But what confuses me is why the ick (if it is ick) hasn't appeared until now????

Thanks Terryb, well both fish were on their sides
dying today so I went ahead and flushed them :(
Its so discouraging, this was my second attempt to try and cure ick.
