Tested Water, I think I'm ready

Well, my very first batch of saltwater turned out to be bad. Was very cloudy. Second batch, from different box (though the same brand, Tropic Marine) came out clear and this is what my tests say:
pH 8.3
Alkalinity 2.2
Salinity 1.024
I don't have a calcium test. Do I need that for FOWLR? I ran the test about 5 hours after I mixed the salt in. So I was thinking of putting it in my QT now. I am planning on putting some lr (not totally cured) to help start my tank to cycle. Should I wait a few more days to allow the water to age before adding the lr or can I do that tomorrow? Oh, the lr is coming out before I put my first fish in and I know this will be a few weeks yet, to allow my QT time to cycle (I'm in no rush). Once the lr does it's job I'll put it in my DT. So does everything look good? I'm thinking my pH might be on the high side, or is it ok?

Ideally shoot for 8.2 but +/-2 is ok.
What do I need to do to get it down .1?
Oh, and my tests are those color charts (Red Sea), so I'm making my best judgment call. Any other tests out there that are more clear cut?

I didn't put the water in my QT last night, to tired. But I am this morning. Will check it one more time for the salinity now that it's had more time to completley disolve (though it looked disolved last night). I think I just like using my refractometer. Is that a sign of addiction or obsession.
