the zenia in this pic has almost no stalk and it is a foot from my t5 retro lights. they are pulsing like mad and look healthier than the ones in my dt that are at the waters surface with 2+in stalks. the reaction i am getting from my latest sps frags i have put under the lights they appear to be equal to a midrange 400watt mh on my 40 breeder frag instead of 6 39watt t5s
