Hey everyone I have another ? wITH THE TESTS KITS do I need to hav the alk test or does it not really matter I dont know and how lopng do I have to wait to put fish in????I need to klnow so please answer!!!!:thinking:

Instead of spending 30-40 dollars to buy a test kit, or if you have .. Return it .... Have your LFS test your water. They will check all the perameters you need to check with your own test kit, and most of the places do it for free, or a 50 cent charge.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with that viewpoint...I personally wouldn't want to be without my own test kits. I'm lazy and not about to drive 15 mins. to the LFS with a water sample when I can do ammonia/nitrates/nitrites/pH in about 10 min. at home. Plus, there's just the added consistency of knowing the same person is doing the tests the same way each time.

I have my own test kit ... But the LFS is right across the street ... Lucky me
...Just more time efficient for me, since im always there looking and dreaming of the fish i want
