i just wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice about the bicolor blennie. everyone said me positive things about him, and i wanted one so i bought him. he is so cool, he hides in a whole in my LR, and sticks his head out and looks at me every once in awhile. hes doing really good and seems really healthy. i was feeding my royal gramma frozen brine, and the blennie went right after it, he loves the stuff. i thought they were supposed to eat algae though. anybody know? will he be ok on frozen shrimp and flake food, which he eats both happily?

He does eat algae. Have you ever noticed him picking at LR? They kind of do it in a quick motion. If you don't have enough algae for him to eat, I would suggest feeding him something with Spirolina(sp) in it.(Formula two)

ive seen him pick at the LR, but he always spits it back out. but man when that shrimp gets in there, he goes after it like theres no tomorrow. he also eats the flake food really well. its that tetra marine flake food. im just not sure if hes getting the nutrition, since i too read that they were supposed to eat algae. but i figured if he was eating that shrimp so well, that he could eat it too. anybody else have a bicolor blennie that eats frozen shrimp? is that with flake food enough?

A happy bi-color will eat most foods and be quite happy with it. Mine eats blackworms, live and frozen brine plus Formula 1 & 2 cubes cut up into small pieces. My little one is now almost 3 years old so I guess it tells you they will survive on regular food quite well. Enjoy the little rascal they are a stitch to watch.
