How come all my anamones like to hide under rocks out of view from display? Got a beautiful bubble tip yesterday and enjoyed it for about 3 hours...went to bed...all day it's been hiding on rock on other side of view---any ideas??

Perfectly normal, many BTA's will do this to start, have patients and give it time.

I know how you feel. My advice is to NOT touch it or move it around. This stresses them out. I have killed an Anemone by moving it around because I was mad that it wasn't in view. I stresses it out. Be patient.

I have no advice but have a similar complaint. My stupid anenome likes a spot all the way at the top of the tank. The problem is every time I want to do a water change, I have to remove it. Well, it travels through the rocks for a couple days and eventually finds its way back to the top. After a few more days, when the anenome is nice and comfortable, I'm ready for another water change...

Sorry to borrow the thread but I figure misery loves company.

try to upgardae your lighting as it is probably looking for as much lighting as possible. I upgraded mine on my last tank and it stood still at the bottom of my tank and was happy.

It's weird, it actually stays under the filter output... not that bright of a spot. Maybe it likes the current.

My bta hid for 2 weeks. Then one day I looked at my tank and there he was, perched on a rock. He's been there ever since.

It does not hurt the anemone to be out of the water for awhile when doing water changes. Your doing it more harm IMO by trying to move it down each time. Mine is completly exposed when I do changes and it opens right back up afterwards.

Parts of mine have been exposed for water changes as well, so I finally took part from the main and part from the refugium.
