This is my first marine tank, so bear with me! I'll be updating as often as I can, and probably will have a ton of questions over in the beginner's forum. XD
I've made a little blog here too, if you want to follow my nonsensical rantings.
Anyways, on with the pics
Day one of the cycle- after the sediment has settled. I need more rock, which more is on the way. The tank is a Marineland Eclipse 12 Gallon Instant Ocean tank- my first acrylic tank! Lighting is 50/50 actinic compact fluorescent lamp, built in wet dry filter (which so far has already given me problems), a heater, a nice powerhead, and a digital thermometer. I also bought a protein skimmer buuut it doesn't fit, so I'll skip that.
Close up of live rock on the left side. Purchased at Monfort Aquatics in Cincinnati Ohio. Lets hope some stuff lives and grows back!
Live rock on the right side. Purchased all together.
So far I can tell I need a ton more rock, which is on the way from ***********. And a background. Which looks better in a small tank- a solid color like blue or a fancy ornate one?
Thats it for now, any tips are greatly appreciated!!
