The 50 dollar lesson.

Recently, while I was working in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog.
During our friendly conversation, I asked their 12 year old daughter what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President someday.
Both of her parents - liberal Democrats - were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"
She replied, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."
Her parents beamed with pride!
"Wow...what a worthy goal!" I said. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!" I told her.
"What do you mean?" she replied.
So I told her, "You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"
I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Her parents aren't speaking to me

Well to be accurate, the girl would have made 50 dollars then her parents would have confiscated 50% of it, told her it was for the children, then spent it on themselves...

Oh like Obama saying I am Saving Medicare by REMOVING 734 BILLION from it over the Next 10 Years. Instead of giving Seniors a Choice like the Ryan plan Does. Before you go off on me I am on MEDICARE because of a TBI so I do know WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. Medicare is my Primary Insurance. I would rather have a Choice as to Who I choose instead of NO CHOICE.

Not going off on you :)
Typical politician style as always. If the Romney/Ryan Plan was that great, why exclude seniors and 55 years olds from it? Because if they didn’t, that would be political suicide. This is a block of voters that actually can be counted on to vote in elections (what’s in it for me crowd). The typical kick the can down the road and let the grandchildren suffer from it. That’s really a BOLD plan!!!
Republican style thinking should be, screw the retirees and soon to be retirees. They live in this land of golden opportunity during the good old Reagan era. If they sat on their hands all these years, and haven’t made their own billions, those slackers don’t need to be excluded….

LOL! Ryan's approval rating among seniors has went up since he was announced for VP. I Didn't expect that, Maybe people are ready for an honest conversation about how screwed the economy is....
