I finally broke down a bought a aqua medic reef 1000 filter system and got it tonight. this thing is awesome. Yeah, yeah it cost 1,300 bones but now that I have it I'm glad I got it. I've used aqua medics products for years, though never there complete systems.
It's very well built and looks very intimadating. includes a glass sump 36 inch L by 14.5 inch W by 14 inch H, with a large mechanical pre filter chamber, DUAL Turbo Flotor 1000s with Rio 2100's, twin trickle bactoball modules for biological filtration and a calcium reactor and a nitrate reductor. All I'm missing is a tank to house it with and ozone. The complete bells and wistles.
They have many less elaberate models, though all of them are built with the same quality they said.
Does anyone else keep this system, how do you like it. I tell you I've been keeping for years and love my other filters, but this one is breath taking.
