LOL...you don't need a cattle prod....get a carrot and walk across the street with a donkey one by one, then get the pony.... 300 yards...you don't need a trailer, it will take less energy to walk them over. Fighting a frightened donkey to get in a trailer with a cattle prode, just doesn't seem like the ideal method.

oh yea i totally thought of that when i wrote it. well i am cooling down.my neighbor came over and helped .they are all over there. we too 6 ten foot long fence panals and made a chute to the back of the horse trailer. he brought a red lead rope that we put on their bottom legs and got them to the trailer.we had to do one at a time cause they were not happy. hell the pony jumped right in.once we closed the doors he went fricken nuts kicking the sides and trying to jump out the look holes. we had to put a 3 inch tie strap around the whole trailer and when i drove i had to keep swirving and tapping the breaks to keep him off balance. but he made it over there. the other two donks werent too bad just a bit of wrestling to get them in.now the young one who is a year old and very friendly.lol.she whooped our butts. she only weighs maybe 130 lbs. we wrestled her in closed one door and before my friend got the other one closed she was half out. there was no way she was getting away. we pushed her head and locked hands and gave it the ol he hoooo. got her in. what a workout.nobody or animal was hurt during this movie lol. wish we taped it. that was some fun.well they are all there and running the property. i built a 4 by 4 and a 4 by 8 platform and welded 2 inch square pipes then put thick plywood on them for the goats yesterday.they are all over them. i will get some pics up later of everything.

i don't know I always loved animals and most things people found annoying and such, I didn't mind one bit.
I used to volunteer for the animal shelter and people hated giving baths to dogs and such but how can one give these dogs good chance if they smell like poo, urine and their scent?
Maybe it's just me lol.

All responsible people do what must be done for their pets, moves are very difficult because animals like the familiar....so they fight you tooth and nail. They are afraid of boxes with wheels attached to engines that make loud noise. They don't like ropes that tether them. They don't like leaving their home where all good food comes to them every morning.
You were willing.... so your co-volunteers let you go ahead and do the hard stuff. Bathing a critter is just hard work....LOL, I know this because I bathed 10 puppies a day for 10 weeks. I had them in my kitchen, and I couldn't stand them to smell like poo, and when I wanted to find them all good homes it was even more important that they be smelling all clean and well cared for.

The brood! I love it hahahahahaha
Volunteers at the shelter that I was in consisted of many ladies and not many men and they didn't really like to get their hands really dirty. (majority of them at least. There were few who were really great and with big hearts)They all loved smaller dogs and all the big dogs like sheppards, mix breeds never really got any love and attention that they deserved. I never liked giving baths either but I was there to make a difference and that's what I tried to do, I bathed, cleaned after them and even helped to groom them in hopes that it will help them find a permanent home where they can be loved the way that they were supposed to be.
I guess I was watched and was blessed. I was given full breed yorkie pup for basic adoption fee (to cover for the shots) from fellow volunteer who had a litter of yorkie pups. (at that time, I was looking for a small dog for my wife.)
My wife loves her and she's been with us ever since. She's 7 yrs old now and happy as dog can be.

Flower, the only thing that I can say when I see your pics is AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
I also volunteer(ed) at an animal rescue. I need to get back to the place, with all my traveling this summer I haven't been there much.
I'm a dog walker there. Yet another connection to you Sip!
