the case of the missing sweetlips

three days ago I put a clown sweetlips I have had in quarentine(new fish) did great the first day was swimming around yesterday and today I can not find him he didn't come out for feeding. I moved my LR and found no dead sweetlips or any trace of bones, But still no sweetlips either????????? where is he do they generally hide like that???

Well, sweetlips do not have a good survival record at all in captivity, so I would assume it died if it is not visible. Reckon it could have jumped, or be in an overflow too, but it is not uncommon for them to hide or to die. :(
As for where it went, well, do you have a cleaning crew?

Since I am assuming it was one of the little juvenile sweetlips, hermits, worms and some snails, brittlestars, etc would finish it off pretty quickly, IMO.
