The city I work for RO system

this is the cities RO system I work at...it pumps 300,000 gpd of water through it...and it is only 50% waste I believe

The third and fourth pic u see all those white long tubes...those are the membranes...there's 12 of them and 3 membranes in each one of those lol so there about 18' long total...the rest of the stuff is pre filters pumps and carbon and whatnot

Oh and this is all so we can heat up the water inside tubes to boil it and make steam...I work at a power plant and we produce steam

Just thought it would be interesting for you guys to see in comparison to what we all use at home lol

Wow. We have big systems at work but nothing like that, our canisters are only about 4' long.

So, I assume that the membranes get replaced or cleaned somehow?

Yeah they get replaced...I'm not sure how often they do it
