The dark purple algae that looks like tall grass waving in the current is that good or bad?

Will snails & hermits clean that up. It's all over the place even if I clean it it's back the next day.
For a 150gl should I get a 100 from each? or more?

sounds like a macro algae, and much like sargassum, which is good, and will help in controling nitrates, unfortunately sargassum normally only lasts about 6 months or so in an aquarium

not likely, if they do eat macro algae, then it is generally not enough to make a difference, but tangs may eat soem, however,if you don't like it you can prune it it will be gone in a couple of months anyhow(if it is sargassum), do you want to get rid of it?? it does help by exporting excess nutrients thus helping ot control nitrates
