Nice set up. That looks like you have an under-gravel sytem set up. Is this correct? If so, I'm not sure that is the route you want to go. Seek out others opinions.

Very nice, good-looking stand as well. I noticed the undergravel lift tubes as well, I'd remove while you still can. From personal experience, I'd scrap the loose background and paint it while you still can, that way you don't have to worry about salt getting between the paper and the glass. Attractive set-up though.
