The Funky Tank

I'm bored, and I've ran out of threads to read, so I'll post some pics of what I've got goin' on. My son and I have been working pretty hard with this stuff.
As a matter of fact, we fired up a tank for "him" just this weekend. It was a spontaneous thing and will be sourt of pricey in addition to working on this tank too, but it's better than drugs if you parents out there know what I mean. He going to e 13 in May. But that's a story for a different time.
Anyway, I'll post pics of the new players in the tank. Some I know the names for, some I'm not sure about. Scientific names? (Don't know any of them).
Here's a shot of the whole shabang. I'm considering some fish this coming weekend.:

This is Candy Cane coral with some really sharp zooz on the other half. I checked tonight and the zooz are on their own "trunk" so I'm going to frag them off and try and get them to spread somewhere else. I really like them. They're crowding the CC coral anyway.

This is some sourt of "Corky Leather"(?). We brought it home from the marine club meeting we went to this past Thursday. It looked pretty ugly in the bag and I didn't want it, but my son was nuts for it so we brought it home.
The next day when I got home from work, I looked in the tank and it was full of the polyps (weren't open in the bag, didn't even know they existed). I couldn't believe how good it looked. I'm glad we gave it a home now. I refer to it as "The Swan"

Here's the bottom dwelling Cynarian Brain. It's pretty freaky. It takes on all shapes from being bunched up, to being almost laid flat out.

U adding any fish? If u are u might want to get him a lionfish because that would be awsome for him to have. check up to see if he is reef safe because at my lfs they have some in reefs and are doing fine. I want one, but it would kill my fish, just giving some suggestions. Or an un agressive eel that is reef safe, those are awsome.

Brought these frags home from the marine club meeting too. The ones on the right are purple star polyps, and the ones on the right are Galaxia. They're really going to town. Especially the polyps.

I'll ownly say "marine meeting" one more time,:D but that's where these Frogspawn frags came from. Believe it or not, they've grown considerably in the short time we've had them. Man are they sharp!

Next in the lineup is this rock of green striped mushrooms. Everytime I think they're as big as they're going to be, they seem to get bigger. I think they've been hitting the juice. Looks like fraggin' time is right around the corner.

One of my Zoo rocks.
Does anyone know if the spidery looking intruders on the top left are a form of Aptasia? I really don't like them horning in there.

For the life of me, I can't decide what color this mushroom is. One day it looks blue, one day it looks purple, and one day it looks like both.:notsure:

you know what would look good in your tank to give it some more color? a pink hammer. also some feather dusters. that would be really cool

Funny you should mention the feather duster. There's one in there, but it wasn't open so I forgot to take a pic of it. It's about the size of a half dollar and is white with maroon around the outside.
So you say you're going to hook me up with a pink hammer?? LOL!
