The healing power of fish

I am amazed at the rapid healing of a fish's wound. Something in my tank took a bite the size of half a dime from one of the fins of may sailfin tang. Today, one week later, it is hardly noticeable. It seemed to have regenerated the missing piece.
I am sure there is research in the medical field to find out what is responsible for this recuperating power.

I have no idea, but my fu-manchu lion once had one of his antennas near his mouth entirely ripped off somehow and it grew back within 2 weeks. He's doing great. Don't know what happened, but he's fine now and better than ever. Remarkable how fast they heal.
