I took the day off today to drive out to my parents ocean front house. I washed my car, went for a snorkel and picked up a few hundred feeder shrimp for my lion and my friends frog. I also had found a small green lion(endemic) while snorkeling and threw him in the bucket as my friend has wanted one for quite some time.
So after a day of fun at the folks house i pack up the fish in a 5g bucket & lid, and i toss in my pops table saw so that i can lay in some flooring over the weekend.
While driving through the Pali tunnel, a cop suddenly decides that hes gotta stop and turn around at the end of the tunnel. The car behind him slams on the breaks, spins around and taps the car in the right lane causing it to spin.....Im at MOST 5 feet behind them at this point.
I tried to ease the breaks as much as i could but. I ended up fish tailing as well (were going 45 tops and UPHILL) but i eventually have to slam to not hit the now tottaly out of control car on front of me.
SPLASH ...the table saw slides across the floor of my element and obliterates the bucket. Shrimp, salt water and saw dust are isntanly every were... dashboard, ac vents, seats, cup holder, even found one stuck in the ceiling fabric. I had to drive home with my feet in 3 inches of water. And i can hear shrimp flipping around... worse I have NO idea where the lion is.
after 3 hours of cleaning...(thank god I have an element, and can just hose it out) I recovered about a 3rd of the shrimp alive. Washed out the rest (hopefully). But I still never found the lion.
no body got hurt...the cop never even stopped.
