Im actually treating it right now...I set a hospital tank and I am treating with cupramine...you can get it at your local fish store. Just be sure to really follow the dose amounts...dont use it to treat your main tank with it as it will kill inverts. Its really not that hard to do it just sucks dealing with it.
The worst part is that if one fish has it, most in the same system will get it. The faster you isolate & treat the infected fish, the better your odds.
IMO, cupramine is the best (by far) copper on the market. I'd suggest using a copper test kit from the same mfg--SeaChem. Treating ich does suck, but sure shows the value of having a hospital/QT set up. BTW; I know this isn't normally done by hobbiests, but I use cuprimine in QT on almost every new fish ( and I've bought a LOT of fish since Katrina) without any bad results.
You'll hear about many "reef safe" miracle products; but, IME & IMO, only copper or hypo-salinity works well enough to be trusted.
