The LFS didn't know what this is... do YOU?

Got this little chip for free when I bought a different $15 frag of montipora. Any clues? It's the brightest neon green imaginable. It's a small chip, about the size of my thumbnail. Has a plate like structure. Green puffs up a bit when the lights are on.
Please excuse the light dusting of algae underneath, have some man made concrete shelves that are just now starting to grow stuff. Unfortunately in this case, it's some green algae.

Might be some type of chalice Echinophyllia spp.. If it is nice score, very expensive coral.

I am betting on it being a sponge

It's actually starting to show tentacles, so I don't think it's a sponge.
My other chalice doesn't show fleshy tentacles like this, so I'm still pretty stumped.
