Cool tank.......a couple of questions though......
1. Is that a bubble wand in that last picture....if so, I thought I had read somewhere that those aren't good for LR and corals and such...is that correct?
2. I am surprised that you didn't paint the background or place a background on there to hide the cables....
But good looking tank....I can't wait to get mine up and running SOMEDAY...lol...I am setting up a 135, but should have gone a bit bigger...180 sounds good....oh well....

yes it is a heater, there's also one in the sump. You are correct at saying bubbles are bad for corals. They trap air next to their tissue instead of water...
I have added a blue backround since these pictures have been taken. I've also got my glass tops in place and added a cleaner shrimp, a pink spotted shrimp goby, and some nassarius snails.
My next plans are for the skimmer, a closed loop system to get the powerheads out of the tank, and some more live stock.

Cool...i painted the back of my tank blue.....but wish I would have gone black...I put it in a wall (well built a room for it) and the entire room is going to be an olive green color....
So I don't know how the blue will look in a olive green room....crap....should have planned a little better....will know this weekend though after painting the walls...lol
Also.....can you please explain to me what a closed loop system is? I am just starting out in this hobby. I currently have a 42 gallon with a couple of fish and some fake decorations...lol

A closed loop set up is basically one larger external pump that takes the place of all of the power heads in your tank. I'd do a search on the boards for closed loop and see what you find. Pictures are very helpful.

I'll take some more pictures this weekend with the backing...

I added 52 pounds of rock this past weekend, a protein skimmer, and some other stuff. I'll get some more pictures tonight and post tomorrow.
Does anyone know if there's any special care required for a super small false perc? He seemed to be more interested in brine shrimp than flake. Just want to make sure I get this little guy all of his vitimans!

I was SO impressed with the new ASM-G2. After getting it installed I think I had room for the G3...

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the new clown. He's so little but he's healthy and really active. Neither the tang nor the larger clown have shown and aggresion towards him. Hopefully the larger and smaller clown will pair up.
