My fish were just moved into their new 220 on Friday. I'm going to wait a while to make sure my water quality stays good but I am thinking about tankmates. Any ideas? Here are the current inhabitants:

Thanks... talk to me about tankmates...
Some options,
sohal tang?
miniatus grouper?
tiera batfish?
garibaldi damsel (if I could find one)?
maybe a lionfish?

A grouper would work... The tang, probably would be ok. Lionfish and batfish... I wouldn't pull the trigger on either of those.

Right... That's what you need... that bright red on that black sand...

what kind of shark is that?
and is that the smallest the tank would need to be to have one?
if not what would be the minimum requirement for it?
sorry for all the ?'s but i plan on upgrading soon and testing all my ideas

That is an epaulette shark. Although there are many opinions on this issue, most people to believe that the smaller bottom dwellers cannot live long term in anything less than 180 gallons, 6 ft x 2 ft.

How big is who? The conch is about 5" long if that's what you're asking about.
BTW, I have been looking at miniatus groupers with no success. Most are pale and outrageously expensive ($100 or more). But today, I saw the most striking colored miniatus that I've seen in a while. And to top it off, he was only $60.00.
It may be pushing the envelope, but I had to buy this one. I haven't picked him up yet... going to make sure my water quality is ok first. I'll post pics when he's in his new home.
