The photography leaves much to be desired (mine included).... as all the photos were supplied by the hobbiests..... but, the information on each tank is interesting. Just remember, the book may be new, but the photos are over two years old now. This is one reason that I'm finally upgrading my photography equipment. The downside is that between a high quality camera, lenses, extention tubes, filters, tripods, flashes, etc.... another $5- $6k goes bye-bye.

Everything I've heard about the book has been positive...decent pics...great systems...extensive info on each....the only problem has been the delay from putting it together and getting it published. Some of the info is well over a year old by the time its published and available to purchase. But...I plan to get it simply because I like the idea of having info/pics on numerous top quality systems. I think its a great idea and hope to see more efferts of the same nature in the future.

While alot of the pictures are obviously by amateurs. They're still better than most of my pictures so I like them :) Besides, its just nice to see so many fantastic systems and how they're handled in one book.

While all of the above is true it is definately a must have and a great coffee table book (or bathroom for that matter):D
The nicest part is that they profile every detail of the aquariums... I don't care as much for pictures as there is a lifetime's worth of images on these boards, yet getting detailed information in a concise listed format is much tougher.
