This is the first time in a while I've posted something outside of the aquarium... one would say I feel like a fish out of water heh heh....
But hey, how about the new Red Sea Max 250!? Here's a pic and link to the mfr's website. It's going to cost an estimated $1499, but is a plug-and-play system with T5 lighting strong enough to support a reef environment. 15x flow. 66 gallons.

What do you all think of it? Good idea? Good design? Waste of money?

MD has it on pre order for $1630 shipped, the T5's dont have individual reflectors, circulation numbers are weak and I cant imagine the skimmer is anything to write home about. I guess if the price doesn't bother you it looks very nice but I still wouldn't use it for any advance reefing (read only for a LPS or softy tank). requires too many upgrades.

look on craigslist i've seen 100 gallon tanks with complete set up ( stand, stump, pumps, lights, skimmer etc) for $800-$1000

I wrote my thoughts on it on another thread a while back. I'll take their nano any day and love mine, but I would not buy anything bigger that is a complete package. You'll want to upgrade just about every single component that the package comes with.

You get what you pay for and you'd end up replacing things rather quickly....Like mentioned earlier package deals don't usually use the better stuff that you could aquire through piecing a system.
