The NFL went to light on Ben R.

IMO the NFL went way to light on him. He is giving NFL players a bad image. And what are the kids nowadays thinking about him being accused of all these crimes. I mean that guy either has really bad luck or he needs some therapy. 3 investigations of sexual assault and being involved in a accident while driving a motorcycle without a license. Like I said, just my opinion.

I thought the NFL did just fine on "Big Dumb Ben", it's the state of Georgia that went light IMO. 4 games is quarter of the season, it's the equivalent of 40 game in baseball.

I'm just glad they did something...instead of their usual nothing....and IMO the nfl players themselves do a pretty good job of earning their own bad names....

I totally agree. If I got accused of sexual abuse because of going out to a bar, then I wouldn't go out to bars. But I really think that Ben has an ego problem. His body guard is no better since he was blocking the door to the restroom where this occured. I just don't understand. All that money, he's young and famous and he does stuff like this.

Man I dunno... 6 games (which will likely be dropped to 4) seems like a lot for something he "didn't" do. Sexual assault is still a pretty serious crime, and if there was actually something to it, NFL player or not, he would be paying the piper, and not have the charges dropped, especially on the 3 go-around. He is a multi-millionaire bachelor that likes to party and college girls. I know I can't fault him for that. Admittedly I don't know the full details on each, but I think what I said earlier would still apply.

Nobody will ever know the FULL truth...but I think the nfl is trying to tell these guys....LOOK people LOOK UP TO YOU DUMB AS$'S....THINK about how you act and what you do in public.....
Do you want your 6-10 year old son getting any ideas from this guy????? Cause we all know (dumb as it is) that athletes and stars are idolized

This guy never struck me as a candidate for rocket fuel cooking academy but did he really do anything wrong? It does seem like they are trying to save him from himself. You'd think he would have learned from the last mistake.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else see him being traded in the near future?
Rumor has it the Steelers are willing to trade him for a top 10 pick in this years draft.
Broncos have the 11th pick

It is all over CNN. They are expecting him to be traded. And Pittsburgh is doing a poll right now about if Ben should be traded and 75% of the people that voted said "yes" trade him. Art Ronney and the city don"t need or want this type of press.

Broncos picked up Brady Quinn, I doubt they are looking too hard at other QB's now but maybe.
I suppose, but is Josh McDaniel really willing to hang his NFL future on Brady Quinn?

I know I know. But it's not like Ben is out there promoting Chuckie Cheese, or hocking Disney products. He is a 2-time Superbowl Champion QB (how exclusive a club is that?), yet this guy regularly appears on WWE
. I feel Ben is there because of his talents, the love of the game, and the $. I don't see Ben trying to reach out, be that role model. I think the market execs, promoters know that, that's why you don't see a 2x SB champ marketing very much, when if he tried to keep a clean image would be everywhere. I guess at the very least, he's been himself, even if that's not a popular thing.

IMO once he got into the NFL, and became a "star" qb, he put himself out there...of course people are gonna look at him differently now....
is that right...is it wrong...heck IDK......BUT it is what it is

This is how Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio envisioned Big Ben's conversation with Roger Goodell
"Ben, you see this big red, white and blue shield that says N.F.L. sitting behind my desk? Well your embarrassing that shield, do better or do something else."
Go to the Smoking Gun website and read the article, the guy is truly a skumbag.

I wonder if say Ben is out all six games and the teams wins all 6 w/o him if he would be able to start after the suspension ends.
My first thought was why is he being punished when he hasn’t been charged with anything. But the more I thought about it, I can see the NFLs position. Something is going on and that something is giving the league a bad image. The NFL has to protect it’s brand name or else they risk losing money which is what it is all about.

Im glad some dumb girl accused a rich high profile professional football player of ----. Cause that has never happened. Some of you all need to get bent. The guy did nothing wrong in the eye of the law. IMO there is nothing to debate. The NFL came down hard as hell on him for doing nothing.
