O.K. Joe here we go,
I had success like this, The first 7 or 8 days my Red Lion didn't eat at all he stalked my damsels, Don't panic! I got great advice from anthem and FMarini whatever they say is the word of God. Here is what they told me, No feeders do not give in to the temptation, a feeding stick (clear plastic) sometimes works, What worked for me was soaking silversides in garlic extract then loosely tying thread to the tail of the silverside and bobing him up and down ( so he appears to be alive) took me a while but now he takes them right from my hand, ( I do not recommened this , potentially dangerous gettig stung ) but that is the only way he will take food so thats what I do.... HTH.....
