The Stand Project

I have started to build my new stand now for my 100 Gal 60 inch tank! Its all 2x4's with 2.5 inch deck screws and construction glue between some of the 2x4's. My old stand was to short and stood out way to much in the basement. The stand is about 3 feet high and 61inchs long. I have some pics of the beginning stages. I will keep posting as the project goes on this week!!!

Same here!!! I know of several other guys using the design and it holds very well. There couldn't be much worse than waking up to find hundreds of gallons of water on the floor because a chintzy stand collapsed.
I look forward to seeing this tank all set up!
I don't have any pics yet other than the ones in my thread in the reef forum.

Heres a few more pictures of what i have done in the last couple days. I am getting my tank drilled hopefully tomorrow for $10 a hole! Im doing 2 1.5 inch holes in either corner at the top for my overflow down to my sump. Im to afraid of getting the bottom drilled for a proper overflow. I am getting extremely good with acrylic now. I found out i can make anything now with it and a little heat! Anyways enjoy!

DT=Display Tank, but after reading your first post it's a 100g. So what type of reef do you plan on doing?
