The Strangest Thing Happen At Our Water Change Tonight!

As usual, did our 10% water change as we do every week.....this time we moved our skimmer to a better spot and power heads to better spots....and then with everything turned off, fed the tank....lights were off for about 25 min or so.....turned all back on and OMG..the biggest nastiest twisting white worm was circling up from the bottom.....in the water...was discusting!! caught me off guard! I assume was this a brittle worm? now when I say huge, I am talking about 3 inches...well it seemed huge when it surprised us! With the lights he quickly moved back down behind some rock and have seen since. Did find a little brittle star in my rock that I never knew was there also! This was a big weekend for my tank....added....very small frag yellow zoos...excited because I don't think the guy from the lfs realized there were some gorgeous blue ones growing on the other side!! 20 bucks! Went to another place and got a gorgeous yellow leather, another set of zoos that were light an orange pink, blue and green mix! Beautiful. Also got a very tiny toadstool I had to attach onto a small frag rock...he is tiny but appears healthy with all tentacles out. Also a small candy cane coral......awesome!! Will try and get some tank pics this week. Does anyone of pics of these worm things so I can compare?

Are you saying it was 3 inches long? If its a bristle worm they'll get plenty bigger than that. I have one thats 8+ inches. Comes out at feeding time too. You learn to love em...well maybe not but you put up with them.

ive never found any bristle worms in my tank over an inch.... i have a big peanut worm living in some of my LR he will extend himself out when lights go out and i see like 4-5 inches of him but i have no idea how big he really is... its amazing the cool creatures u find in ur tank.... i always see lil mini white brittle stars stickin there arms out.... i found some barnicles on a rock.... lots of lil feather dusters.... some baby snails and macro algaes... LR is almost the funnest thing to look at in a tank since there is always new stuff popping up on them
