Remember this thread from before, but couldn't find it (maybe it was lost when the boards changed). It was a lot of fun - post pics of your corals when you got them new, and now. Here's a couple to get us going.

Great pictures!
Thank you, but this thread isn't just about me or my pics -hopefully others will join in. There are some truly amazing growth rates and pics of corals on this site and I love to see their product

The toad stool on the right was one of my first coral 3 years ago. I just recently had to remove it from my tank. You'll see why in the next picture.

those duncans are crazy!!

Tell me about it! At first I fed them all the time wanting them to grow, then they got so big and the tentacles are so long they became most of my 12 gallon and I can't put them in my main tank because my maroon tries to host, they closed up for over a week even after I got them away from her. I gotta buy a dremel and frag them up if I want to keep them. They don't get fed anymore. They are weeds. I have a green toadstool like yours that grew super fast as well but almost died in a tank heater malfunction, I had to frag it to save it and ended up with about seven the size of the original frag.

I want to get a duncan. I went to my LFS last week and they had one for $100 with 3-4 heads. They had a tag for $28 for one head, but it was sold.
When I took out my toadstool, there was a little flesh left on one of the rocks and a couple weeks later I saw it was growing a teeny tiny toadstool. Im so glad because I really liked my toadstool, it was just waaaay too big.

yeah, I've seen several pictures of clown trying to host Duncans or other corals; I've got a maroon right now that tries to host my GSP

$100 for 3-4 heads - I hope it was something truly spectacular. I've seen Australian duncans that sell for significantly less than that. Suggest looking around some more that seems pretty expensive. I picked up my first Duncan frag for free by swapping frags with another local reefer.
