anyone up for a thermos trade. I have a few things overgrowing in my tank that I could weed out. these include anthelia, gsp, mushrooms, blue palythoa, caulerpa, chaeto and what looks like an evergreen star polyp. anyone with extra live rock I have two reidi seahorses I am willing to trade for some. please everyone feel free to join in. I am going to do this on next monday the 22nd. this way we do not have to worry about the post office being closed or weekend hold ups. everyone should send their thermos with priority mail. everyone is to go to usps.com to purchase postage and send the tracking number to the next person in line. those not sending a tracking number will not be included. please feel free to ask questions.

we get a group of people together. each person gets assigned a number. number 1 will send their thermos to number 2 and they send theirs to number three and etc. it is between yourself and the person you are shipping to to decide on what it is you are sending. everything is to be sent in a thermos. preferably in a baggy so you don't risk everything leaking. you will ship it priority mail via usps. it should take between two to three days for your item to arrive. please let me know if their is anything else I can answer.

do you think the seahorses could safely be shipped to florida? and how much live rock do you want for them?

I think they could safely be shipped. it would have to be overnight though. I would place them in a foam cooler with heatpacks, newspaper for insulation and I don't know whether I would do separate bags or one large single one. I paid $50 each so I would like to an equivalent amount in LR. say at $3 a pound maybe? I only need like 15-20 pounds though. maybe you have some corals I could get some frags of? let me know your approximate whereabouts so I can get a shipping estimate.

hey sedorusc i saw that you had some seahorses for sale. Can you tell me what size tank they were in and a little about there setup? Can you tell me what they eat, are hey a mated pair? I really want to set up a seahorse tank. I have a spare 55 gallon that I am contomplating setting up for seahorses. Any help would be great.
Thanks

I would be interested in this. All I have to offer is blue shrooms. I won't be ready to do this for a week and a half or so since I just fragged mine yesterday. I wouldn't want to send them on their merry way unless they looked happy in my tank!

Hi,
I know that the shrooms can be sent free floating. But, I just cut a few a couple of days ago to see how they fare and that I didn't kill them. I just cut about 25 more today. Mine won't be ready to send out for a week or so. I would want them to recoup and get some gravel stuck to them so I know they are healthy before I ship any. As for how many to send to someone depends on how many you will receive.

Thanks for the info. I won't have any ready to ship out on monday then either... I will keep watching the threads and after I have some attached to gravel I'll participate. Tiberius, you have listed another posting about blue shrooms right? Are you still interested in a trade for red shrooms?
