I thought they said they did find that "suspicious" white guy. Who got hot and took off his long sleeve shirt...

Way to go Bloomberg! You hit the nail on the head while the real terroist was buying a plane ticket with cash just before departure.
The Homeland is not secure, well at least mine, Kenya may be.
What rock have you been hiding under? I like how the right wingers are taking Bloomberg's remark out of context. Like he said, at the time they had no idea who it was, or what their motive was. As volatile as the Obama Healthcare issue is these days, it wouldn't surprise me some nutjob would do something like that for the cause. They also theorized that it was a Muslim attack because of the stupid episode of South Park that depicted the prophet Muhammad in a bear suit. Comedy Central's parent company is Viacom, and their corporate offices were on that street corner.
Tracking down and catching this guy within 48 hours was a pretty impressive feat. Granted the moron left enough clues that Barney Miller could have found him, but they got him before he could get out of the country. The only reason he was able to get on the plane was because the airport and airlines didn't update their 'No Fly' lists for 24 hours after they received an update. Homeland Security has now modified that so they have to update their lists within 2 hours of being notified of a change. What's funny was when they got on the plane to get him, his response was something like "I was expecting you, or What took you so long?"
Terrorist experts have said that it's almost impossible to stop attacks like this one. Virtually anyone who is ticked off at the world or upset about some cause could've pulled this same plot. They're saying now that this guy was under duress because of financial problems. His house got foreclosed on, and when the pressure got to him, he went back home to Pakistan and started to become more relgious. Apparently some radical Islamic group got hold of him, and convinced him to do this terrorist plot with the SUV. He's saying now one reason he went along with it was because this Pakistani group was holding his family, and if he didn't go through with it, they'd kill them. Whatever the reason, I just hope some copycat idiot doesn't try the same thing in some other town.

When you have stuff like the beware of veteran terrorists, then Billy coming out and saying Tea Party people are terrorists, Obama saying the same thing, then Bloomberg making an ars of himself...
Then it turns out a registered Democrat, and Bush hater planted to what amounted to a smoke bomb... You do have to admit it sure is ironic and funny....

He should have never been on the plane in the first place. We're lucky he did not take the plane hostage on the way back to the gate.

They're lucky the idiot didn't head for the airport the minute he left Times Square after dropping off that SUV. If he had, they never would have found him. The guy couldn't even build a bomb right to blow up the SUV, and you think he had the intelligence to figure out how to get something on a plane to hold it hostage? Maybe he could've waved his Koran around, or pulled off his belt to spank the pilot.

There is no doubt there is a organized effort among Democrats from Obama down to label the tea party as extremists because they (the Democrats) know that movement is very bad for their agenda.

Of course they do. Whatever can get them the votes. I'm sure the Dems are hoping the Tea Party group jumps on board with this immigration flack going on in Arizona. You know they will use that as ammo in the mid-term elections. The Dems already had a major voting bloc with Hispanics in this country. If they side with the Hispanic groups who are screaming 'unconsitutional' on this issue, you'll see just how powerful that Hispanic vote is come November.

We'll see. I am still not convinced a great majority of legal hispanics are against that law. Sad day if they are.

Who in this country is not an immigrant or the offspring of immigrants? I fail to see the controversy. Follow the law and all are welcome. The laws have been on the books for 70+ years. Then again the Constitution seems to be forgotten too.

The only problem is every poll I've seen shows the majority of americans in support of that law... It doesn't help obama that he keeps intentionally mischaracterizing it to fit his agenda...

If by "mischaracterizing" you mean lying... Yeah you are correct.
