hey all...i bought my thin finger leather about a year ago, it was about 1.5 inches tall...it is now about 6.5 or so? and the bottom is just starting to crease and its starting to tip slowly...the bottom is also getting to be a darker color, not rotting or anything just a little darker tan/purple vs the light color the rest is great..any suggestions or info what could be happening? my bulbs are about 9 months old is it time for a replace and they are causing it to fail? any suggestions? thanks

Your bulbs are getting close to needing replaced, suggested every 12 months. Although they only lose about 10% of there power every 12 months. So it not that HUGE of a difference but im sure the corals notice a change.
I had the same thing happen with a few colt corals I had. They all just started to go a bit limp at the base. I tried getting them more light and more filter feeding food but the bases of them eventually started to deteriorate. SO i fragged them up and now have more smaller colts.
Not sure, this is just what happened to me, you may have another problem. I know when my soft corals start to look bad they are telling me i need to do a water change. that may be it.
