Thin STUBBURN "dying" green algea

Hey guys, my tank is only about 2 months old and a thin green algae is starting to cover some parts of the tank. It doesn't seem to scrape off when I scratch it with my fingernail and almost seems to be dying the live rock. It has a slimy feeling to it and it's not coralline or anything good. I have Arg-Alive Key's gravel so the shells making up the sand is getting "dyed" as well. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
Tank is a 70 gal with 30 gal refugium reef system and the water quality is really good. Nitrates around 8 and everything else in check. I am using Calcium, Strontonium, Iodine and Coral-Accel. I also got some Invertebrate Target Food by Coralife for my anemone and feather dusters. The light is a pretty strong 6 bulb teck-light, Protein Skimmer in refugium and about 30 hermits and 15 Mexican Turbo snails. The algae isn't removed when the turbo’s pass over them and I've seen them remove coralline off my glass which was pretty impressive. That's what has me worried. Also about 120 lbs of live rock.
Thanks a million for any help you have
