Thinking about a phosban reactor

So who has used one of these and how often do you have to change the media out?

I have one that I don't use anymore. How often you change the media depends on the size of your tank and the amount of phosphates it has to remove. I find that if you follow the directions on the phosphate media that you use, then it really seems to cost alot of money. I chose to reduce my phosphates in other ways.

For me i had phosphates in the .3 to .5 range. using the reactor I have been at 0 overnight. I change the media once every 3 to 4 weeks on a 75 gallon tank.

I think the media is good for 3 months or so. I used it for awhile, but then the cyano went away, so I took it offline.
