thinking about alveopora

Ok so i was thinking about an alveopora coral what do you think my lighting parameters are as follows.
2 250 watt metal halides
on 14 hours a day
what do you think also are they hard corals and are they sutiable for a novice aquarists

14 hours a day is overkill. 12 hours MAX, 10 hours is fine, 8 hours is great.
What are your water parameters? What type of lights do you have? What do you feed? What is your filtration methods? What is your internal flow rate? That's more important than light sometimes when it comes to LPS.
