This came on my new coral...Good or bad?

At first i thought they looked like mushrooms but then I got my glasses..LOL now I'm thinking Halymenia...which would be good.
Or is it something awful? Please advise.

I'm assuming you're referring to the red/maroon algae?
It is a type of scrolling coralline. I paid $60 for about that much, LOL.

LOL, yes.
I wish I could remember exactly what it is called. It's not bad though.

I tried to Google search and folks talk about it but no pictures and no articles.

I had it for quite a while. It didn't like high flow at all and the pieces just floated away in the current. I was hoping to get it to spread to some other rocks, but it didn't :-( I've seen rocks with pretty little "colonies" of it at my LFS's display tank, it's beautiful when it fills out.

Looks like the start of Mesophyllum sp. Or maybe Lithothamnion sp.

BTLReel, It's in the seahorse tank so low current is perfect for this stuff, if it's what you say, and I hope it is.

GREAT! I didn't realize you were giving me the real fancy names the scientists use, I thought you meant something different than what BTLDReef thought it was.
