i am confused! this is my problem i am new to saltwater fish. I have posted on here before asking if i could keep a huma huma in my 48x19x21 i thought it was a flatback hex. The aquarium was a hand me down. Now after looking at some tanks online i see it is a octagon. Now i dont know how many gallons it is?
i have 2 350's one emperor 3-something and a powerhead for circulation. the tank is broken down right now. Lighinting wise what should i do? i like the way the mushroom corals look but dont have the extra cash to invest in a real big lighting system?
can anyone help me out. the lighting that it has is just a 35 watt stip light
thank you

the aquarium has 8 sides. The front and back are equal to each other. If you can picture this: the widest part (which is in the center) is 19 inches (from front to back), The it is has a round curve where it draws itself more inward. It is 21 in. tall, and 48 inches in legnth. I really do like the picaso trigger; so i'm going to go with a fish only. Is my filtration adquet would my fish die from high nitrates that i hear my canister filters produce? would i be able to keep a panther grouper with it? thank you
