If you have only snails,a hermit crab, a cleaning shrimp, a scallop and a tiger cowery do you actually have a bio load? Im only asking this cuz of the long time it has been taking my new skimmer to kick in. Its been about 3 weeks since we put it in. We havent had any fish in the tank for about 3 months. We have been doing all our tests and doing our weekly water changes and just feeding the scallop the phytoplankton. Sorry if this sounds dumb but I spend alot of time trying to understand all the aspects of our tank. Thanx in advance!!!

sure you've got a bioload....it's just not very big
how big is the tank?
how old is it?
and I'm sure someone will ask... what are your parameters?
