I'm not Thomas, bur here is an answer for ya.
How come my BTA doesn’t have ‘bubble tentacles’?
The short answer is that no one knows. There have been lots of theories about why BTAshave bulbs or lack them, but no one has been able to prove one theory or the other. Thefactors that do not appear to have any impact include: presence or absence of clownfish, frequency of feeding, or brightness or quality of lighting. To confuse matters further, there have been instances of some BTAs that have had tentacles with bubbles and
tentacles without bubbles at the same time. The presence or absence of bubble tips does not appear to affect (or indicate) anemone health.

thanks for the 411
yeah its wierd since they came from one like 8 months ago .... the RBTA that has the long tentacles is the one that hosts my tomato clown.... kinda wierd that he chooses that one over the other but thats the only difference i see...
yeah i dont notice any bad health or anything like that so thats good but i was just wondering ...
once again thanks for the info!

no problem...don't know if this helps, but i always noticed the BTA's I had that were in random currents seem to bubble more, and the constant flow anemones seem to have stringier tentacles, could have a little something to do with drag co-eficient, or it could just be coincidence, I was not running a study by any means.
