I'm obviously not Thomas, but your question is an easy one to answer. That is how they multiply. Check the threads and you will find extensive info, including pictures on this topic.
Yeah I have been searching. I can't seem to find a definate answer. Some things say from stress and some not. I just want a straight up answer.
LOL - thank u
Go to the Search at top of page, type in BTA, splitting. You will see the threads that I mentioned, including the pictures. This should answer your questions so you can tell which applies to yours.
Well I had already done that. So I did it again.
Here is my conclusion - please by all means correct me if I am wrong.
I personally have come to the conclusion that BTA's split normally as a means of reproduction, however that sometimes they will split if stressed.
So another question - how do you know which is which? :scared:
Some times they certainly seem to split quite normally and in my case prolifically. Stress related splitting you will have to be the authority on cause its your tank and only you know what is going on in there. If you suspect something is wrong then test your water and observe what is going on in your tank.
