I am sorry for the loss!!! Thomas please keep us posted with IO company if you would I really would like to know the outcome!!
A guy from the LFS that I go to he has a 500 gal reef tank. He had a bad heater which I will not say the brand but a respectful one. what happend is his tank over night reached 92 F and he woke of the next day to a dead 500 gal reef here is the outcome he sent the heater back to the company the took a look at and said that the thermostat got stuck and therefore wouldn't tell the heater to shut off. well the company replaced the heater and wrote him a check of 4000 for his loss of livestock and went on with there day. I forgot he gave them a water sample too. I honestly believed that company stood behind its product!!!!

yes i would like to know the outcome of this to thomas and how IO deals with the livestock that you lost.

The IO company has not gotten back to me yet.
My water paramiters have stablized a bit in the week that this has happend; Lets see I had them right here.
Ammoni 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates very low almost undetectible
Alk 2.8 down from GOD knows where
cal 390 gotta get it back up there after being stripped
mag was less than 1200
PH 8.0
Tank started to recycle during the week, and have had those familier friends drop by. Diatoms, hair algea, and some other types.
Need to find a new clean up crew rocks are getting filthy. Have not checked phosphates in a while and susspect to have some.
Restarted Kalk dripping tonight.
Seems we have another thread where IO salt has gone bad.
