Thoughts on this filter?

So I was interested in making a tube that would hold filter media, activated carbon, and phosban to ensure I got rid of any phosphates and or nitrates. Just thought it would work well for those bad days. Anyway, I took a 3" PVC tube and hooked it up to my overflow box and ran it to one side of my fuge. It only runs on gravity and thought it would work for a week or two then I can either pull the end cap and refill or just pull it off the system. I also had no room left in the cabinet and thought it would be fine behind the tank.

Hey...quite a gadget you made, keep us posted on how well it works out. Not a bad idea at all.

Should be fine....I've seen it done in the past....Wouldn't be any different than a dedicated reactor IMHO other than you used PVC and gravity feeding it.....
