Three clowns?

I was just curious if it was safe to keep three clowns inthe same tank for an extended period of time. I don't really have any plans to get rid of any of them at the moment. They are all getting along quite well. I had two clowns in one tank, then bought another tank with one clown in it. I put them all together into one tank and the single clown that came with the new tank seems to be putting off the other two clowns. Kinda like it's not paying any attention to them.
I just didnt know if this might be causing stress or anything. All fish are eating/swimming normal with no problems.
