Throwing up it's innards or just pooping??

I just got my first anenome a few days ago and need help deciding if I'm being parranoid or if there is a problem. I understand that it takes some extra time getting acclimated so the inflating and deflating didn't bother me. That has actually stopped now and it's staying inflated. It has only moved a little, maybe less than an inch, so I think it's happy for now in it's location. But I've noticed that the mouth has opened twice. The first time was just a little bit but the second time was wide open. That must have lasted for a couple hours and then it's nicely closed again.
I've read in different threads that innards coming out is bad and poop coming out is good. That makes sense but how do I know which is which? I read in one thread that "If its waste it will be a small clump of stuff that floats out. If its its insides then it will look like spagehetti comming out of it." But mine had a brown stringy, mucus-like stuff coming out of it (not clumpy nor spaghetti -like) this morning and it looked fine when I got home from work. So was that poop or innards? Should I worry?
We tested the water before picking up the anenome and everything looked fine. I don't have the exact numbers now. I will re-test and post them later.

We've had the tank set-up for about a year now.
There are 4 bulbs - 2 65Watt 12000K Daylight and 2 True Actinics.
Gonna get the parameters in the morning. It's way past my bedtime.
I just looked at it again while checking the lights and now it looks like something's pushing out of the center. Almost like an "outie" belly button.

my anemone when i first got him did a similar thing he was drooping and mucus looking stuff came out along with what looked like the food i fed him. i just left him alone and didn't feed him for a while and he finally perked up and now is doing great. i think i might have over fed him.

Can anyone give me a little more detail on how to tell if this is poop or not? I'm really worried about it and the rest of the tank.

Expelling its insides looks a lot like white intestines, or worms, or even spaghetti coming out of its mouth. Mucus type ooze is typically waste, brown color is waste and in excessive amounts could be zooxanthellea. If everything is looking good today just observe it. What type of anemone is it? What size tank is this? Your lighting maybe insufficient, FYI. Where is it in your tank? Pics would help a lot.

the waste from mine is brown and stringy. I believe if it was stressed, injured,or otherwise unhappy,it will expell it`s innards. which look like white strands.
