i have my 35 gal. reef tank up for about 18 months now. The only fish I have it there right now is one clown fish and one green chroism (sp), plus various corals, and inverts/clean-up crew. i've kept the bioload small to keep my levels in check. But now all my leves are right on target (zero nitrates) for over 3 months now. plus i'm adding a sump soon as well.
So, to make a short story long, I think i'm ready to add a new fish or 2. Any suggestions? I'm jsut looking for a 'cool' looking fish, that will get along in to tank...
Cheers

i suggest both the sixline wrasse and the firefish goby. both are very pretty fish, reef safe, and small. you will never have to feed the six line wrasse either since your tank is well setup.

Ummm... I have to respectfully disagree. Marine Bettas are a gorgeous fish, yes, but they grow up to 8 inches and have the potential of eating smaller fish/inverts. They need a 75 gallon or larger, IMO.

i have the same as you do now with a royal gramma, he is so cool and adds lots of color and persanalty (sp?) he moves around tank like a floting ghost and never bothers anyone and no one bothers him
good luck

Kreack,
There was an article about marine bettas and it says 30gal is min. for a marine betta if i remember correct... i think thats because they arent active fish and hide all day long in big aquariums because of the crowd...

Hey, just to jump in here, my neighbor has a 40 with a betta that is a year old. Its not the MOST active fish, but it shows itself fairly often. I wouldn't go under 35, but I think 35 would be fine. If in a couple of years you need a bigger tank........theres your excuse for a bigger tank! LOL
