Time for new Protien skimmer?

I need advice, I have a motorized Pro clear 75 protien skimmer in my sump, i really hasnt done that much since I have had it but recently it pulls out maybe 1/8th of an inch in a week which is unacceptable. I have the a proclear 75 sump and the skimmer sits after the blue sponge that breaks up bubbles, but before the pump going back to the tank. I guess my question is is this just a sign of a crappy skimmer, I never hear much about it. I was new to this when I bought it, now im thinking about getting a aquaC 120.
Any thoughts?

i don't know about yours, but a friend had one of those all-in-one pro-clear sumps, and the skimmer was much too small for his tank. the sump was supposed to be rated for 150 gallons, and the skimmer looked like a little toy.
