time period for lights

how long should i keep my lights on in my 20 gal eclipse tank thanks for your help ive herd so many times i keepin them at 8 hours on a timer but well i want to know if i can keep them on longer than that plz HELP !!!! but smile

I keep mine on 13 hours
do you have multiple light fixtures?
If you do... put your blues on in the morning, run all the lights in the afternoon, then only the blues in the evening.. (simulates sun passing over)
If you dont... dont worry about it.

I run my PC & NO lights for 10 hrs on my reef tank. Most go anywhere from 8 - 12 hrs. HTH
