Time Sensitive question

I just bought a maroon clown and it is in my tank now. It is trying to host my condi anenome, but it looks lik it just keeps getting stung.
But the clown keeps at it annd keeps going back for more.
Is this normal hosting behavior? I thought that most clowns couldn't host a condi anenome.
I don't want the clown to get stun to death.

The only anemone I know of for sure that a clown wont host is a Pink Tip. There have been theories over the years that their resistance in not inborn, but that they actually do get themselves stung to build a resistance.

if your clown is being stung this means his slime caot has been removed (this is what protects the clowns from the anenomes sting..dose your tank with melafix for a couple days(remove carbons and turn off skimmer) this will help the fish produce his natural slime caot faster and help heal any injuries he may have already gotten .you may find your anenome and some corals may close up when first dosing the tank but its not hurting them they will open back up in an hr or so(it always ticks my sebae off lol) you may also notice a bit of foaming in the tank due to dosing but that too will also go away as its fully mixed

Thanks for the help, my clown is hosting my condi just fine now. It just took two days of him getting used to it.
